Brown Banded Cockroaches, like their cockroach cousins, are aggressive
scavengers who will eat almost anything. These cockroaches measure about
5/8 of an inch and their wings a marked with two brown-yellow bands.
Preferring warm, dry areas these critters will seek our buildings for
their homes, particularly in high locations or inside furniture.
The Brown Banded Cockroach is a nocturnal creature and adults live
up to 10 months. Female Brown Banded Cockroaches will carry their egg
capsules for 24 to 36 hours, then will attach it to the bottom or on
the side of a protected surface. Each egg capsule carries an average
of 18 eggs, and nymphs will mature in about 160 days.
